My Top Ten Shoujo Anime!!!

One of my passions in life is Anime.
I have seen many and have enjoyed many. Shoujo is a genre of Anime that we Americans would refer to as Romantic Anime. It usually is in a school setting, and always involves romance. This is my own opinion, and does not mean I dislike or hate any other Romance Anime.

Let's go then!!! Ikimashou!! 行きましょう!!!

10. Special A

Special A is a Comedy Shoujo if I could call it anything. It's about gifted kids in a special section of their school called Special A. Hikari is the heroine, and she would love nothing more than to beat the number one student in school Kei. What she doesn't know is that Kei is in love with Hikari, but she is too dumb to notice. It's a very cute love story!!

9. The Wallflower (Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge)

The Wallflower tricks you into thinking it's a Horror Anime, but it is really a Comedy Romance anime. This one is probably the goofiest one on my list. It's one of the anime I love though, where the girl lives in a house full of handsome guys. This one will make you laugh and sigh throughout the entire anime. <3

8. My Little Monster (Tonari no Kaibutsu kun)

My little monster is a different spin on most anime. The heroine, Shizuku, is a very serious student, who isn't looking for love, and the love interest Haru is a goof who constantly gets in fights and pisses off Shizuku. It's a story that shows that love can happen at any time with anyone.

7. Vampire Knight

Vampire Knight would be higher up on my list, but for a few reasons. First off, the manga I absolutely love. But the anime disappointed me somewhat. I hated the voice actress they picked for Yuki in the English Dub, but the English Sub is pretty good.

6. Itazura na Kiss (Playful Kiss)

Itazura na Kiss is by far the cutest and most refreshing anime on this list. It is a very realistic anime, with a story that could pretty much happen in real life. You root for the heroine Kotoko the entire time, and in my case I was very happy with the ending. The love interest Naoki is cold and a "tsundere" character, but I love him all the same.

5. Fruits Basket

Fruits Basket is another case of an anime that I love, but reading the manga first made me expect more to the anime. It is very colorful and enchanting. The characters are unique and the story will make your heart ache. The Sohma family is complicated, but when Tohru comes to live with them she heals them one smile at a time.

4. Kimi ni Todoke (From me to You)

Kimi ni Todoke is a slower anime than most people like. It takes time for the romance and love to blossom. The girl, Sawako is shy and terrifies most of the students in her school, Shota is one of the most popular boys in school, but he is a kind soul and deeply cares for Sawako. This anime takes you through Sawako's Highschool experience, making friends and falling in love.

3. Ouran Highschool Host Club

This anime is one of the most popular, if not the most popular Shoujo anime ever. It's what is called a Reverse-Harem Anime. Where there is a girl, surrounded by many attractive male suitors. Haruhi is no ordinary girl though, she is a from a middleclass family and gets a scholarship to go to a very exclusive "rich kid" school. She accidently breaks an extremely expensive vase, and ends up having to work off her debt dressed as a boy at the school's host club. Try it, I promise you won't be disappointed.

2. Kamisama Kiss

Kamisama Kiss is the only supernatural romance anime on this list. Nanami falls in love with a Yokai (Demon) named Tomoe. It's a fairly new anime, and I am in love with it. It incorporates a lot of historic Japanese themes and gives the whole show an Edo era feel.

HONORABLE MENTION

Uta no Prince Sama

Another Reverse-Harem, I love it, and it does have some romance, but I would put this more in an Idol Anime category than a Shoujo Anime category. Please do watch it though, it is an awesome anime!!!!

and now...... NUMBER ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD

1. Sukitte ii na yo (Say, I love you)

This is the best Romance anime I have ever seen.

The main character compliment each other so well, and you imagine yourself as the girl Mei and fall in love with Yamato yourself. I don't want to say too much and ruin it for you, but it made my heart speed up and my face blush. Even the animation is spectacular. I completely stand by this anime and wholeheartedly say that this is my favorite. I really hope you'll enjoy it. In fact, I know you will.

My Top Ten Hottest Anime Guys

This is not a list about shallow vanity, I just thought it would be fun if I showed you the most attractive people to me in anime. So let's start with the boys!!! Comment below which anime guy do you think is cute???

10. Miketsukami (Inu x Boku SS)

There are many reasons why Miketsukami is on our list, but I think I'll stick to his best features. He absolutely loves Ririchiyo and would die for her, so he gets points for loyalty. His different colored eyes give him a gorgeous exotic look, and he is also a nine tailed fox and is a bad ass fighter.

He is a very special and caring character.

9. Kei Takishima (Special A)

Kei is one I'd call the strong silent type. He is extremely intelligent, to a genius level, but is still fun to be around and can relax. His best traits are, his intelligence, his calm demeanor, and how easily he gets flustered is adorable!!! His unrequited love makes you feel better if you've ever had the same situation happen to you.

Kei is a take charge man and he fights for the girl he loves.

8. Kyoya Ootori (Ouran Highschool Host Club)

Kyoya is the Vice President of Ouran's Host Club, and the very fibers that hold that flimsy club together. He is in charge, and everyone knows it. His best qualities? Maintaining order, his sexy glasses, his in charge attitude, and his sly way of always getting what he wants.

Kyoya is mysterious and is a force to be reckoned with.

7. Lelouch Vi Brittania (Code Geass)

Lelouch is terrifying, but strangely alluring at the same time. You wonder if he is just a murderer or if there is a good person deep inside. His best traits? His gorgeous looks, his power, and his eyes.

He is a rose with poisoned thorns.

6. Kyo Sohma (Fruits Basket)

Kyo's personality is as firey as his hair! He is feisty and fights with anyone around him. I love how tough he acts, but how embarrassed he gets around Tohru. Kyo's best traits are his bright orange hair, his tough guy attitude, and his softer side that only his girl sees.

He's good guy, with a bad past.

5. Tomoe (Kamisama Kiss)

I have a thing for Demon romance. I love it. Most of the time you can only find them in Manga, but in this Anime it is great! Tomoe is very serious and mysterious. He doesn't take orders easily, and he is very stubborn. But he is adorable! (and sexy)

I love Yokai!!! XD

4. Yamato Kurosawa (Sukitte ii na yo)

He's every girl's dream! Yamato is handsome, intelligent, and very popular. He is very romantic, and sexy. You feel like you are in the anime and imagine yourself as the girl he loves.

He is the ideal boyfriend.

3. Ichinose Tokiya (Uta no Prince Sama)

This was hard to choose. I love many of the guys in this anime, and even though he's not my number one favorite. He is the sexiest. Tokiya is a bubbly popstar but in real life he is a very real and serious person, who wants to be a normal singer.

He only seems to smile for Haruka.

2. Kaname Kuran (Vampire Knight)

Not only is he a Vampire, he is the Prince of Vampires. Kaname's alluring eyes and smile draw you into his charm. He is like an older brother to Yuki at first, but then he grows to love her. :)

They are so cute!!!!! ^_^

1. Sebastian Michaelis

I'm probably going to pay for this, but Sebastian Michaelis is my ideal anime man. (If you can call him a man). He is the sexiest demon butler ever to live and even though there isn't really any romance in Black Butler, you still swoon when he acts sexy.
