Gluten Free Foods

Most of the time, when I myself am looking for Gluten Free foods; they are usually strange Organic type brands you don't see in most grocery stores. Being a person with Celiac's Disease, it is crucial to be 100% sure that the products you ingest are Gluten Free.

On many of my Grocery searching Travels, I have found and will find easy to get Gluten Free products that taste good and are good for you.

So let's get started.
(By the way, I will judge them on taste from 1 to 10 seeing that some gluten free foods taste funny)

1. Jif Peanut Butter.

Believe it or not, Jif peanut butter is Gluten Free. It doesn't have to be the weird organic kind, just normal Jif. The Gluten Free label is on the back next to the Ingredients list.

2. GoGo Squeez

These are delicious Apple sauce on the go snacks that are great for any age. My personal favorite is the Banana Apple. If you look on the back under "Rules of Play" it clearly says Gluten Free.

3. Nabisco Rice Thins
Luckily with these, they say Gluten Free on the front, so you know you can trust it. These crackers are made out of rice instead of wheat and come in four flavors, Original, White Cheddar, Barbeque, and Salt & Pepper. Personally I have only tried the original, because I do not like Barbeque or White Cheddar flavored chips in general.

The crackers are very bland but not gross. I suggest putting food on it, or dipping them in something.

4. Sabra Hummus

Seeing I just suggested to eat the rice thins with dip, I decided to show you guys a Gluten Free dip.

Sabra Hummus is a very popular brand and can be found pretty much anywhere.
It is very good, but can become too salty if eaten too much.

5. Some Progresso Soups

Now do not misread what I am saying. Not ALL Progresso soups are Gluten Free. I would hate to have someone allergic to gluten accidently eat gluten because they misread this post.
The Types of Soup From Progresso that I have found to be Gluten Free:

Chicken Corn Chowder
Split Pea with Ham
New England Clam Chowder

These are obviously labeled as Gluten Free, so if there are other flavors that are Gluten free I have not listed then great!

6.  Chex Cereal

Chex makes pretty good cereal without Gluten. I usually eat mine with Rice Dream Milk as I am allergic to all other Milk substitutes. (Soy, Almond, Coconut)

Apple Cinnamon is my personal favorite.

7.5 out of 10 for taste.

Now we get to the weird stuff.
These are ethnic gluten free foods. Sometimes they can be found at Food Lion or such, but usually you have to go to a specific store.

1. Chifles Plantain Chips

These I found in the Latino section of Food Lion. Surprisingly you can find a lot more Gluten Free foods if you stray away from the norm.

They tasted like bland potato chips. But I thought they would be terrible so, I guess that's good.

2 out of 10 for taste.

2. Simply Asia Sesame Chicken Rice Soup

An easy quick meal, Simply Asia Rice noodle soups are in the Asian section of many supermarkets and are clearly labeled gluten free.

8.5 out of 10 for taste.

So guys that's all for now, will post more later.

Thanks for reading and I hope you guys enjoy and try these foods. Email me if you know of some good gluten free foods!!!
